Meteorology

Develop the essential meteorological knowledge required to support safe and effective flight dispatch operations.

This module covers weather phenomena, aviation meteorological observations and forecasts, operational interpretation, and the assessment of weather-related hazards affecting flight planning and operational decision-making.

The course content is developed in alignment with the competency-based training principles and relevant meteorological competencies described in ICAO Doc 10106, Manual on Flight Operations Officers/Flight Dispatchers Competency-based Training and Assessment.

The module is delivered online and can be completed at the learner’s own pace during the selected access period.
